Ghent Landscape is looking for an experienced Residential Landscape Construction Foreman to join our construction team!
The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for leading residential landscape construction crews and overseeing day-to-day site operations. This hands-on leadership role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the company's quality standards while supporting crew success and client satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape construction crews on residential job sites.
- Interpret and execute work based on construction drawings, grades, and project specifications.
- Coordinate daily site activities including crew direction, material requirements, equipment needs, and workflow planning.
- Communicate daily progress updates, site challenges, and schedule impacts with Construction Managers.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and to company quality standards.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe job sites, enforcing company safety policies and OHSA compliance.
- Operate and oversee the use of landscape construction equipment including skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors, and power tools.
- Troubleshoot site conditions and adjust work plans to maintain productivity and project momentum.
- Mentor and train crew members on construction techniques, safety expectations, and quality workmanship.
- Complete required health and safety documentation including JSAs, site inspections, and incident reports.
- Accurately submit digital crew timesheets to support payroll processing and job costing.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, inspectors, suppliers, and the public.
- Report directly to assigned job sites and support overall team success as required.

- Proven ability to lead a small construction crew and maintain strong productivity on active job sites.
- Confidence interpreting landscape construction drawings, grades, and technical details to guide daily work activities.
- Ability to plan ahead for materials, equipment, and labour needs to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Strong focus on job site safety, organization, and quality workmanship.
- Effective communication with Construction Managers, crew members, clients, and inspectors.
- Commitment to mentoring junior team members and contributing to a positive, team-focused work environment.

Compensation & Benefits:
- $30 - $40 per hour, depending on experience
