If teaching group fitness classes is your passion, then look no further! Bonsor Recreation Complex is looking for enthusiastic individuals to lead group fitness classes. Fitness Instructors lead exercise programs for adults and seniors, focusing on functional exercises, balance, agility, cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility. The incumbent will also perform related work as required.

Applicants must hold a current BCRPA certificate or related equivalent with one or more fitness-related modules and have experience planning and leading group fitness and/or Zumba classes. Other related duties include communicating with program coordinators as well as program/equipment set up and tear down. Other requirements include Basic First Aid certification and CPR Level C and strong customer service and communication skills. This work is suitable to individuals seeking occasional and/or part-time work; preference will be given to candidates with prior experience exceeding six months.

Pay Rate: Fitness Instructor 2: $36.30 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits
Zumba Instructor 2: $50.64 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits

Location: Bonsor Recreation Complex

Hours of work: This is an auxiliary position. Hours and shifts are based on operational requirements and do not provide guaranteed hours of work.



Typical shifts include weekdays and weekends, class time averages 1 hour in duration.
