Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Container Unloading Specialists to join our warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for unloading inbound shipping containers, palletizing products, and supporting general warehouse operations as directed by Warehouse Management. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic, attention to safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload inbound common carrier shipments and shipping containers.
- Palletize, organize, and securely wrap products after unloading.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned by Warehouse Management.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- Experience in food distribution is considered a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy physical work throughout the shift.
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Regularly lift and move items weighing 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team environment.
Vision Requirements
- Ability to read labels and documentation at close range and at a distance, with or without corrective lenses.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed indoors in a warehouse environment.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer areas.
- Work around warehouse equipment and moving mechanical parts while following all safety procedures.
Equipment Used
- Pallet jack
- Forklift (if certified)
Preferred Certifications
- Forklift certification is an asset but not required.
