As a Health Care Aide, you will be part of a dedicated team working under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. Your primary focus will be to deliver protected, effective care tailored to resident needs, guided by their care plans. Ideal candidates should possess robust communication skills and a caring attitude toward residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with bathing and personal hygiene
• Facilitate secure transfers using mechanical aids
• Support residents during meal times
• Administer routine treatments under Nurse guidance
• Accompany residents to activities and appointments
Requirements:
• One year of experience in continuing care preferred
• Completion of recognized PCA/HCA Certificate Course
• Active registration with CLHA
• Fluent in English, both written and oral
• Post-secondary education is an asset
