Make a difference as a Full time Youth Support Worker with PLEA Community Services in Surrey, BC. Engage youths in one-to-one activities to foster well-being and personal growth.
PLEA is seeking a dedicated Youth Support Worker for its U-Turn/U-Link team, starting August 24, 2026. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences and at least one year of experience working with high-risk youth. You will implement strategies to address youths' complex needs and support their developmental goals while maintaining close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop individualized support strategies for each youth
• Provide supervision and emotional support in community settings
• Teach life skills and reinforce positive behaviors
• Collaborate with family caregivers and local resources
• Maintain detailed reports and ensure compliance with policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
• One year of relevant experience with high-risk youth
• Basic First Aid certification required
• Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License
• Successful Criminal Record Clearance (CCRC)
