**Job Title: Packaging Operator**
**Job Description**
This role supports a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility by safely packaging medical pill products according to customer work orders and strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

As a Packaging Operator, you will perform a variety of packaging, inspection, documentation, and general production tasks in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment while wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE).

You will contribute directly to product quality and patient safety by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate records, and working collaboratively with your team across rotating shifts.
**Responsibilities**
Package bottles of medical pills into boxes according to customer work orders and production schedules.

Inspect boxes and packaged products for damage, cracks, or other defects and remove any non-conforming items from the line.

Perform pack labeling and ticketing, ensuring all labels and tickets are accurate, legible, and correctly applied.

Complete product sampling off the production line following SOP and GMP requirements.

Load finished packaged products onto carts or designated areas for further processing or shipment.

Weigh packages as required and verify that weights meet specified tolerances.

Document activities throughout the entire shift, including completion of work orders, production records, and quality checks using basic computer systems.

Follow all SOP and GMP guidelines while performing packaging and general production tasks.

Lift and move items up to 20 lbs as part of daily packaging and material handling activities.
**Essential Skills**
Previous packaging experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably under GMP or similar regulated standards.

Familiarity with GMP (Valuable Manufacturing Practice) and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) concepts.

General labor and general production experience, including basic material handling and manual tasks.

Basic computer skills to complete documentation, work orders, and electronic records.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.

Prior exposure to GMP-compliant operations and strict documentation practices.





Experience performing detailed documentation throughout a shift, including completion of multiple SOPs and production records.

Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new procedures and learn multiple SOPs (e.g., completing approximately 10 SOPs per day during training).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in packaging, labeling, and documentation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mississauga, ON.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
