As a permanent full time Health Coach, you will guide families through their perinatal journeys, enhancing their access to cultural supports and health resources. This critical role involves working closely with the Kwakwaka’wakw Maternal, Child and Family Health team and community partners. Your contributions will directly influence the quality of maternity care services and foster solid support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support families during perinatal journeys with compassionate care
• Collaborate with local maternity care providers and organizations
• Access cultural resources to assist families' health journeys
• Attend to families' needs with dedication and respect
• Drive initiatives for improved maternity care outcomes
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent education and experience
• Registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers
• Valid BC Driver’s License - class 5 required
• Knowledge of First Nations health practices and protocols
• Commitment to cultural safety and humility training
