Alpha House is seeking a committed Outreach Worker for its Beltline program, with shifts from 4pm to Midnight. This role focuses on supporting those struggling with addiction and homelessness through community outreach.
In this permanent full time position, you will engage with the community, advocate for clients, and collaborate with various partner agencies. Your experience in crisis management and understanding of housing systems will be crucial as you work to provide compassionate, effective support to individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver non-judgmental support to clients in distress
• Conduct outreach sweeps in challenging conditions
• Transport clients safely using agency vans
• Facilitate educational sessions for community partners
• Maintain qualified and ethical conduct in all interactions
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, or related field
• Familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care
• Exceptional crisis management abilities
• Class 5 Non-GDL driver license and explicit driving record
• Ability to navigate difficult terrain in various weather
