**Job Title: CNC Machinist Lead**
**Work hours are from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.**
**Wage - $47 - 50/hr.**
**Location - Edmonton**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lead Machinist to join our team.
This role is responsible for leading shop floor machining operations while actively participating in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with solid machining expertise, particularly in large-scale equipment components used in mining and heavy industry.
**Responsibilities**
Lead and supervise shop floor machining operations.
Participate in CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Manage production runs and ensure quality control.
Perform basic CNC programming and editing.
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues.
Operate and oversee Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM) and Vertical Machine Centers (Vertical Mills).
Utilize overhead cranes for handling large components.
Mentor and lead a team of machinists.
Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with blueprints.
**Essential Skills**
Minimum of 6+ years of CNC machining experience, including operation, setup, and basic programming.
Strong experience with Horizontal Boring Mills (HBM).
Proven ability in machine setup and production runs.
Basic CNC programming and editing skills.
Proficiency in troubleshooting machining and tooling issues.
Experience with Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.
