Join American Iron & Metal as a Non-Ferrous Receiver in Sudbury South. Help maintain operations and ensure effective sorting and handling of non-ferrous metals in a supportive team environment.
This full time permanent role focuses on receiving, sorting, and organizing various non-ferrous metals. Under the guidance of the Site Manager, you'll classify materials, ensure equipment is in valuable condition, and maintain facilities. You'll also handle customer interactions and data entry, key for tracking materials effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and sort different types of non-ferrous metals
• Classify materials and track weights accurately
• Perform general maintenance in office and ensure safety
• Enter data into in-house receiving software
• Assist customers and help with torch cutting
Requirements:
• Forklift operating experience is essential
• Previous experience in metal recycling is an asset
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite preferred
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong customer service background in retail
