Job Title Project Manager Overview This position involves managing life extension and maintenance contracts within the OPG ESMSA framework. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project budgeting, scheduling, and scope management, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality assurance standards. The role requires a deep understanding of project scope boundaries and necessitates effective communication with project owners regarding cost and scope issues. Responsibilities Understand and manage all aspects of project budgets and engage with owners on cost issues. Develop and oversee project schedules, ensuring maintenance and communication of progress and reporting requirements. Fully comprehend and administer the project scope boundaries, engaging with owners on any scope issues. Ensure compliance with contractual agreements between the constructor and the owner. Apply appropriate quality assurance measures to the project with suitable resources. Ensure that the project is properly and competently resourced for effective control and execution. Provide timely notifications regarding any delays and additional work. Develop or oversee the development of all project requisitions and collaborate with the central purchasing group for material acquisition. Essential Skills Minimum of 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in the OPG environment. Experience in project management, nuclear operations, construction, design, and project engineering. Nuclear Security clearance or ability to obtain one. Experience with complex and straightforward projects, including first-of-a-kind projects like Medical Isotopes and turbine replacements. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with constructors in the nuclear sector.



Experience managing relationships and communicating effectively with various stakeholders in trades and construction. Work Environment The work location includes 4 days in the office at Bowmanville to support OPG projects and 1 day working from home. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, totaling 8.5 hours per day. The team consists of approximately 20 Project Managers and Project Leads and is expected to grow. There is a focus on mechanical and civil work, with projects ranging from parking lot modifications to reactor adjustments. The office environment is collaborative and respects hard work and merit, providing opportunities for exposure to high-level management. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bowmanville, ON. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
