**Refrigeration & HVAC Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration & HVAC Mechanic to service and maintain commercial and industrial systems.

**Responsibilities**
Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC systems.

Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

Diagnose equipment issues and provide effective solutions.

Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.

Complete work safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
**Essential Skills**
5+ years of refrigeration and HVAC experience.

Valid G2 Gas Technician License.

Valid 313A or 313D Refrigeration License.

Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.

Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.

Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical ability to lift equipment and perform field service work.

Eligibility for reliability security clearance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
Experience with industrial and commercial refrigeration systems, chillers, and HVAC controls.

Knowledge of Building Automation Systems and DDC controls.

Electrical troubleshooting experience, including VFDs and control circuits.

Experience working in institutional, healthcare, or manufacturing environments.

Additional safety certifications such as Working at Heights or Lift Training.

Experience mentoring apprentices and supporting team development.

**Work Environment**
This position involves servicing commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities, requiring a combination of planned maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and emergency service work.

Work is performed both independently and as part of a collaborative team,



with regular travel to customer sites within the service area.

The role involves exposure to mechanical rooms, rooftops, construction sites, and industrial environments, with participation in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

The fast-paced environment requires robust problem-solving skills and a focus on safety.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, ON.
**Pay and Perks**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $64.00/hr.
**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Ottawa,ON.
