We are looking for Class 1 Truck Driversto join us and become part of our Arrow family in Grande Prairie, AB.

As an Arrow driver, you will be hauling wood fibre locally in B train trailers.

Wood fibre is mainly comprised of wood chips, but we also haul sawdust and hogfuel.

You will travel on various highways in and around Grande Prairie.

Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and

Regulations.

Perform pre and post andenroute trip inspections on equipmentoperated, ensuring safety,roadworthinessand regulatory compliance.

Comply withapplicable legislation including protected operation, load securement, driver''s hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensions.

Complywithall rules and regulations, protocols andestablishedmetrics.





Efficiently maneuver truckand trailer(s)into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.

Mayoperateloading equipment as per role requirements.

Check mobile equipment (i.e.frontendloaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working order.

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisor.

Report all safety hazards or conditionsencounteredat load, unload,yardand shop sites.

Record,Maintainand Check all relevant paperwork (i.e. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete andaccurate.

Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.

Complete electronicand/or manuallogs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.

Communicate effectively and courteously with the public, customers, and co-workers.

Assistin loading and unloading of trucks.

Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.

Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.

Tarping loads may be a requirement.

Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.





Provide feedback to supervisor/dispatchregardingcustomer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems.

Ensure that all customers,co-workersand the public are dealt with professionally and with respect.

Train others whenrequired.

Class 1 driver's license

Super B and mountain driving experience is required

Proven ability to drive in snowand other adverse weather conditions

Ability to to chain tires when necessary

Cleandriversabstract or record

Ability to read, write and speak in English

Front End Loader experience is an asset

Ability to move 100 pounds, lift 50 lbs overhead and lift to shoulder height 75lbs

Ability to sit long durations

Ability to pass pre-employment drug test

Ability to take and follow direction

Ability to understand cross training on all functions at facility Strong safety mindsetand quality oriented

Needs to be responsible,accountableand dependable

Demonstratesstrong communicationskills both verbally and written Strong work ethic and positive team attitude

Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment

Computer Literate

Basic understanding of vehicle and trailer maintenance requirements

Organizational abilities including task prioritization and adherence to timelines

Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations

Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
