About the Role

Aurora Eye Care is looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused individual for Diagnostic and Reception team.

This role combines patient reception, administrative responsibilities, and diagnostic testing to provide a seamless patient experience. You will be one of the first people our patients meet, while also preparing them for their eye examination through diagnostic testing and clinical support.

Responsibilities

Patient Experience

· Welcome patients with warmth and professionalism.

· Build rapport while guiding patients through their visit.

· Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries.

· Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments.

· Complete patient check-in and check-out.

· Process recalls and follow-up calls.

Diagnostic & Clinical Support

· Perform pre-testing and diagnostic procedures.

· Conduct retinal imaging and other advanced testing.

· Assist with contact lens training and clinical procedures.

· Prepare patients for their examination with the optometrist.

· Accurately document results in the electronic medical record.

· Prepare, stock, calibrate, and sanitize exam rooms and equipment.

· Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

Administration

· Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

· Complete administrative and data entry tasks.

· Keep reception,



diagnostic areas, and exam rooms organized.

· Maintain supplies and assist with other duties as required.

Preferred Experience

Experience in optometry, medical, dental, or customer service is an asset but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate.

Position Details

· Full-Time: 35–40 hours per week

· Clinic Hours:

o Monday, Thursday & Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

o Tuesday & Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

· Applicants must be available to work within clinic hours.

· Wage to be determined based on experience.
