Launch your nursing career confidently with Alberta’s Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program. Graduates will receive guidance from experienced mentors while gaining hands-on experience and building essential nursing skills.
The Graduate Nurse Transition Pilot Program (GNTPP) is designed for recently graduated Registered Nurses looking to thrive in their current roles. This 12-month program is structured into two phases: Enhanced Orientation and Independent Practice with Support. During Enhanced Orientation, you'll develop a personalized learning plan with a Clinical Guide. Following this, you will transition to independent practice while receiving ongoing mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide secure, patient-centered nursing services
• Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Teach and advocate for patients and families
• Support health promotion and maintenance initiatives
• Collaborate effectively with nursing and care teams
Requirements:
• Accredited nursing education program completion
• Registration eligibility with CRNA
• BCLS-HCP certification
• Must graduate within 12 months prior to start
• Interview preparation with UNA documentation
