The Okanagan Indian Band is seeking an On-Call Elementary Teacher to support daily plans set by a regular teacher. Responsibilities encompass curriculum development aligned with BC standards and fostering a supportive workplace for diverse learners. This role includes monitoring student progress and offers an engaging workspace in a culturally rich setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement lesson plans from the regular teacher
• Develop curriculum per BC Ministry guidelines
• Supervise classes, field trips, and lunch periods




• Integrate students with diverse needs positively
• Ensure safety in the learning setting
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Education or equivalent
• Valid BC teaching certificate
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
• Experience teaching multi-grade classes K5-7
• Preference for experience with First Nations communities
