Role Description
This is a full-time, in office Electrician role based in Dease Lake, BC. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment used in mining operations, including power distribution, motors, control panels, and lighting systems. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, diagnosing electrical issues, conducting troubleshooting, and completing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves working with supervisors and other trades to support production needs, following electrical codes and site safety procedures, and documenting work performed in maintenance systems.
The Electrician will also participate in safety meetings, support continuous improvement initiatives, and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of electricity principles and safe electrical work practices.
Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation of wiring, panels, and industrial equipment.
Proficiency in maintenance & repair of electrical systems, with a focus on reliability and uptime.
Ability to perform systematic troubleshooting on complex electrical and control systems.
Background in electrical engineering concepts or equivalent technical training relevant to industrial environments.
Valid Electrician trade certification or journeyperson status, or equivalent recognized credential.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, including adherence to lockout/tagout and other site procedures.
Experience working in industrial, mining, or remote site operations is an asset.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, respond to call-outs, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Strong communication skills and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
