TOTAL MOVING - DRIVER OPPORTUNITY

Manitoba's Modern mover "Total Moving Winnipeg" is looking for Part Time 5 Ton Truck "Lead Drivers" to join our rapidly growing business!! The successful candidates will operate a 5 Ton truck to transport and deliver locally, new and used household goods and other products, to and from various warehouses and private residences. Note, although some roles will be part-time to start - it may transition to full-time work in the Spring.

Our future teammate will be responsible for;

- Operating delivery trucks safely and responsibly conforming to all provincial and local traffic laws governing the operation of a commercial vehicle ‘straight truck’
- Wear company approved uniform while on duty, while representing our company in a professional and courteous manner
- Supervise and direct Helpers on every job
- Performing all duties in an organized, skilled and productive manner, eliminating any risk of damages
- Properly use, and maintain inventory of cargo handling equipment assigned to truck
- Load and unload goods and products in a safe manner, mitigating damage at all times
- Follow specific instructions, procedures, and standards for the efficient and safe operation of the vehicle and for the care and safety of helper crews and public
- Complete paperwork as instructed in a legible and accurate manner
- The role requires working flexible hours including some weekends
- Strictly adhering to company policies and procedures

Our future teammate should possess the following;

- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience operating Straight-Van / 5 Ton type vehicles
- Hold a valid Class of Drivers License to operate Straight-Van vehicles




- Have no more than 6 demerit points within a 2 year period on drivers license
- Minimum 1 year experience in loading, transporting and unloading new and used household goods including all paperwork processes
- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items
- Knowledge of Canadian Safety Code regulations including but not limited to Hours of Operation Regulations and Vehicle Inspection processes
- Knowledge of the local and surrounding areas
- Knowledge of all federal, provincial and local traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of a Class 5 commercial vehicle
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English and ability to write in English
- Ability to effectively perform in a supervisory capacity in a team-work environment
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- A punctual demeanor and great hygiene
