We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic Full Time Auto Body Technician to join our team. We offer competitive wages and extended health, dental, and vision coverage. Over view:

To repair vehicles as quickly as possible in a safe and quality manner, with a fit and finish that meets or exceeds the original factory fit and finish. The end result should be an invisible repair. Each technician is expected to maintain B&D; Autobody & Glass Ltd. quality standards.

· Physical fitness and stamina, as autobody technicians may need to stand up for long periods of time, lift heavy materials or work in small and cramped spaces (e.g., underneath cars or in the booth)

· Organization skills, as autobody technicians will need to ensure that repairs are they are completed before the deadline. Attention to detail, as noticing issues in autobody work requires someone who can notice the smallest scratches and imperfections

· Customer-service skills, as autobody technicians must be good a listening, understanding and communicating with paying customers

Requirements:

· Note any incorrect parts or discrepancies on work orders

· Immediately notify the production estimator of hidden or missed damage that doesn't appear on the estimate

· Working with shop Foreman and Estimators to ensure quality work, performing quality control checks on vehicles

· All straightening and repairs should be done according to factory specifications including door, hood and

· deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, welded-on uni parts, etc.

· Reading, understanding, and following work orders, completing repairs to OEM standards





- Protect the customers car to prevent damage during the repairs.

· This includes but is not limited to the use of car covers, welding blankets, masking paper, or any other practical method to ensure positive results.

· Be responsible and accountable for all parts for any jobs that are assigned to you.

· Be organized and develop a system for holding the parts and fasteners until they are installed or reinstalled on the vehicle.

· Apply undercoating, seam sealer and lubricants as the need presents itself or as listed on the estimate.

· Ensures notes are placed on hard copy files and report to estimator when changes are made so all employees are aware

· All repairs and painted parts should be completed to the point of "ready for paint" prior to delivering the vehicle to the paint department.

· After painting, re-assembly, headlight adjustment and other final alignments and adjustments prior to the car being delivered should be performed

· Inspect our work and that of others to ensure that the vehicle is delivered with a fit and finish equal or superior to the original factory fit and finish

· Upon completion of a job, advise the appropriate person and request a recent assignment

· Maintain a good work attitude and cooperate with managers and fellow employees in a positive spirit of teamwork

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Experience:

- automotive technician: 1 year (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
