Concrete Finisher / Site Foreman

Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal
Location: Edmonton, AB
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 10+ hour shifts (weather and project dependent)

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher / Site Foreman to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role for a skilled concrete professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience and a proven ability to lead a crew while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily site operations while working alongside the crew to complete concrete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise a concrete crew on commercial, residential, and civil construction projects.
- Coordinate daily tasks and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Perform all aspects of concrete work, including forming, placing, finishing, and curing concrete.
- Install and tie rebar according to project specifications.
- Set grades, elevations, and forms.
- Ensure quality workmanship throughout every stage of the project.
- Maintain a safe and organized job site.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve job site issues as they arise.

Qualifications

Required





- Minimum 10 years of concrete construction experience.
- Previous experience leading and running a concrete crew.
- Extensive experience with:
- Concrete forming
- Concrete placement and finishing
- Rebar installation and reinforcing steel
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Ability to work 10+ hour shifts, Monday through Saturday, as required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Assets

- Experience operating heavy equipment such as skid steers and excavators.
- Experience with grade checking and site layout.
- First Aid, WHMIS, CSTS, or other construction safety certifications.

Pay: $36.00-$44.00 per hour
