Become an In-House Legal Assistant within the Legal Services Department, contracted until March 2027. Your role will entail supporting the preparation of vital legal documents.
As the Legal Assistant, you will be integral to the department by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support. Your tasks will include preparing legal documents related to various applications influenced by specific child and family regulations. Although indirect, your contributions help facilitate processes that ensure the welfare of Indigenous children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and prepare necessary court documents and materials
• Assist the In-House Legal Counsel with clerical support
• Collaborate with stakeholders for document accuracy
• Ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and procedures
• Support the mission of the Legal Services Department
Requirements:
• Experience in a legal administrative role preferred
• Knowledge of Family Law and related legal frameworks
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and precision
• Dedication to supporting cultural continuity for Indigenous communities
