The GP role is central to delivering specialized care for complex geriatric syndromes within RAH’s emergency department. You will be responsible for conducting geriatric assessments, creating intervention plans, and working with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient discharges. A key expectation is the ability to practice autonomously and lead team-oriented care effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and address geriatric patients’ emergency needs
• Create and implement patient-centered care plans




• Lead team-oriented care efforts among healthcare teams
• Perform follow-ups on patient health post-discharge
• Deliver timely interventions in high-pressure situations
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in nursing with an NP qualification
• Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta
• Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification
• Geriatric care experience preferred
• Familiarity with emergency department dynamics
