Support Métis families with culturally sensitive services as a Family Support Worker at Métis Child, Family & Community Services in Winnipeg, MB. This full time, 12-month term role focuses on empowering families through targeted interventions.
In this key position, you will assist in crafting and delivering goal-focused strategies for high-risk families. By mentoring parents and enhancing household routines, you will play a critical role in community welfare. You’ll engage actively with children and families to ensure they access appropriate resources while understanding their cultural contexts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement interventions for families
• Mentor parenting techniques and establish routines
• Connect families to essential community support
• Provide culturally relevant services and guidance
• Maintain strict confidentiality in sensitive matters
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education in Social Sciences
• Minimum two years' experience with high-risk families
• Knowledge and certification in non-violent crisis intervention
• CPR or Emergency First Aid certification current
• A valid Manitoba driver’s license is essential
