Become a Security Officer with Commissionaires BC, working in the Newton BIA area of Surrey. Engage with the community and support safety from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
This position requires a valid BC security license and at least two years of security experience. You'll be actively observing and reporting unusual activities, assisting the RCMP, and building relationships with transit police, business owners, and community members. Solid communication skills and a proactive approach to public interaction are essential to excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the RCMP as a safety presence in the community
• Observe and report unusual activities promptly
• Take detailed notes for incident investigations




• Engage with the public and respond to their inquiries
• Establish positive relationships with local businesses and transit police
Requirements:
• Valid BC security license required
• Minimum of 2 years in a security position
• Basic First Aid and Advanced Security Training certificates
• Proven communication and time-management skills
• De-escalation certification and Naloxone Training
