Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, handling food items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cash handling, and customer service within a dynamic team environment.

Duties

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about products, and provide exceptional customer service
- Handle food preparation tasks including assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils regularly
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures




- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations during shifts
- Uphold a friendly and professional attitude to foster a positive guest experience

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Food safety certification or knowledge of proper food handling practices is advantageous
- Time management skills to ensure timely order preparation and service
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed

Pay: $16.70 per hour
