Enhance the dining experience for residents at Extendicare Medex as a Casual Dietary Aide. Engage in meal preparation, service, and cleanup while supporting a compassionate team.
In your role reporting to the Nutrition Manager, you’ll assist with meal setup and service in a supportive setting. Key responsibilities include serving meals courteously, cleaning dishware, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. Participation in special events and catering activities will also be expected, along with training current team members to ensure excellent service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve meals to residents and guests professionally
• Assist in meal setup including beverages and desserts
• Deliver tray service and explicit dining tables




• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
• Food Handler's Certificate required
• Experience in food service, especially with seniors
• Enrollment in Food Service Worker Training Program
• Excellent customer service skills needed
• Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
