Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for IWK Health in Halifax, Nova Scotia, focusing on holistic, evidence-based family-centered care. Join a team dedicated to supporting diverse communities within a vibrant academic health sciences centre.
The position is full-time permanent, working Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You will collaborate with families and healthcare teams to deliver protected care while demonstrating robust clinical judgment and excellent IV skills. The role requires managing and triaging referrals, along with meticulous monitoring of patient reactions to treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer IV medications safely and effectively
• Monitor and respond to adverse medication reactions
• Document patient care accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with families for goal-oriented care
• Manage referrals efficiently and professionally
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is mandatory
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
• Registered or eligible with Nova Scotia Nursing and Midwife Regulator
• Current CPR Level-C Healthcare Provider certification
• Robust critical thinking and communication skills required
