Join PLEA Community Services as a dedicated Youth Support Worker, offering full time support to at-risk youth in Surrey, BC. This impactful role emphasizes the development and execution of individualized strategies and interventions.
In this Regular Full time position, you will work closely with a team to address the unique needs of youth involved in the criminal justice system. You must possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and have experience in residential care settings. Your role will include developing protective strategies and strengthening community ties to empower youth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with caregivers for youth service goals
• Provide close supervision to assist youth
• Implement community resources in case management
• Teach skills for successful community integration
• Document all service delivery reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field
• One year experience working with high-risk youth
• Demonstrated cooperative relationship development
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License and vehicle access
• Satisfactory criminal record clearance required
