OCSB is hiring a Special Assignment Assistant in St. Bernard to support developmental programming for students. Assist with individualized instruction and contribute to classroom activities under teacher supervision.
As a Special Assignment Assistant, you'll work closely with students in the Developmental Educational Program. This Level 4B, 10-month position requires a secondary school diploma and a related two-year college diploma, coupled with two years of experience. You'll provide individual instruction, help implement tailored programming, and engage as a proactive team member.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual instruction to assigned students
• Implement tailored programming for students' needs




• Assist with classroom activities and support overall program
• Collaborate with teachers to modify educational strategies
• Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
• Secondary School diploma required
• Two-year Community college diploma in a related field
• First Aid and CPR training essential
• Minimum of two years related experience required
• Robust interpersonal skills, particularly with children
