Agcon Equipment Ltd. is a thriving agricultural and construction equipment dealership with a full mechanic shop and MPI Accredited frame shop. We are looking for an exceptional Transport/Construction Technician or Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our Service Department. All persons with relevant transport, construction and industrial equipment experience will be considered at this time. The successful applicant will earn a competitive hourly wage, dependent upon experience, and a comprehensive company benefits plan will be provided.
What does the role look like?
- Diagnose, Repair & Maintain transport and construction equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections; including fluid and various filter changes, testing of equipment, & adjustments
- Reconditioning of pre-owned equipment
- Accurately record all work done for customer and warranty records
- Track and follow-up on parts for ongoing jobs
- Manitoba Safety Inspections (commercial)
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of work experience in a relevant position (Transport/Construction or Heavy-Duty Technician)
- 3rd or 4th or Red Seal ticket preferred
- Basic to above average computers skills and a passion for problem solving
- Ability to complete detailed repair order notes on each job
- The desire to continue learning updated equipment technology as the industry continues to evolve
- Clear communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Able to contribute positively to a quality team setting
- A self-starter and work under minimal supervision
- Ability to perform commercial Manitoba Safety Inspections
Experience:
- Transport Technician/Heavy Duty Mechanic: 5 years + (Required)
- Holds a MB Inspection Certificate for commercial vehicles/Transport (asset)
- Secondary School (Required)

Pay: $58,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
