The Opportunity:
Our client, a leading heavy civil construction and aggregate organization in Atlantic Canada, is seeking a Project Manager to join their growing operations team in Saint John, Current Brunswick. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex infrastructure and civil construction projects while working alongside an experienced leadership team committed to operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
Reporting to senior operational leadership, you will be responsible for managing projects from planning through execution, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of civil construction projects while building a long-term career with a well-established and growing organization.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead heavy civil construction projects from planning through completion.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements.
- Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost control and profitability.
- Coordinate field operations, subcontractors, suppliers and internal project teams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve risks and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Review contracts, manage change orders and oversee project documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and operational efficiency.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction, infrastructure or industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting and contract administration.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with aggregate operations, site development, earthworks or municipal infrastructure projects is considered an asset.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $120,000
Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
