Join the University of Manitoba as a Demonstrator and Tutor for FOOD 4160. This position emphasizes preparation, instruction, and support for students in food analysis.
The Faculty of Agricultural & Food Sciences is hiring a Demonstrator for the Food Analysis course starting on September 9, 2026. In this role, you will prepare instructional materials, assist in lectures, and provide hands-on tutoring to enhance student understanding of course content. You will play a key role in student consultations and evaluations throughout the semester.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and participate in course orientation meetings
• Develop instructional materials tailored for tutorials
• Grade student assignments and exams
• Provide regular consultation times for students
• Engage in additional course responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
• Completion of relevant academic studies in food or nutrition
• Effective communication and English skills
• Ability to empathize with student concerns
• Experience in tutoring or teaching recommended
• Registered student status in the relevant department preferred
