The Western College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a Tenure-Track Faculty Member in Large Animal Surgery. This full time position supports veterinary education while performing essential surgeries on livestock and equines.

You will teach DVM students and contribute to the surgical service at the Veterinary Medical Centre. This role combines clinical practice with scholarly research endeavors, requiring the successful candidate to maintain high standards of animal care and develop recent knowledge in veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities:
Teach lectures and labs for veterinary students
Conduct elective and emergency surgeries on large animals
Participate in mentoring interns and residents
Acquire research funding and publish findings
Engage in administrative and departmental activities

Requirements:
DVM or equivalent with residency training
Certification eligibility with relevant veterinary colleges
Proven teaching experience in veterinary medicine
Record of successful research outcomes
Legal right to work in Canada
