Shape meaningful cultural experiences for women and children at the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre as a Cultural Program Development Specialist. This full time role is dedicated to programming that fosters community resilience.
As a key team member, you will be responsible for planning and delivering various cultural and social programs in line with DEWC's mission. Bringing at least two years of experience in low-income settings, you will work to enhance community engagement and program accessibility.
This position involves direct collaboration with DEWC staff to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and facilitate educational cultural programming
Collaborate with staff for successful program implementation
Engage members in the development of activities
Apply an anti-oppression framework to program planning
Monitor and document program progress and outcomes
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years working with women in supportive settings
Awareness of challenges affecting women in the DTES
Robust organizational and IT skills
First Aid & NVCI Certification required
Encouragement for Indigenous women and women of color to apply
