Ensure that all machines at Rollstar Metal Forming are maintained and in proper working order
Education, Experience and Skills
- Provincial Certification Red Seal 433A required
- Minimum five (5) years experience in similar position
- Must be able to read, write and speak English with valuable written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of Mechanical aptitude and complete understanding of Mechanical and Electrical procedures
- Experience of working with presses preferred
- Knowledge of machine rigging procedures
- Basic knowledge of machining and welding - tig, mig and stick welding
- Ability to read drawings, blueprints, specifications and manuals
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools and industrial maintenance equipment
- Possess own tools and toolbox
- Holding dual tickets is an asset
Major Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and diagnose root causes of issues in equipment.
Perform full diagnostics on equipment and advise Maintenance Supervisor and/or Purchasing Manager of parts required to perform necessary Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Must ensure all paperwork and logs are completed prior to shift end
- Physically maintain machines and equipment
- Maintain Preventive Maintenance Schedule
- Ensure preventative maintenance program are done based on assigned schedules
- Maintain company tools as required to fulfil duties
- Troubleshooting of production equipment and record keeping of development and troubleshooting
- Work independently and with minimum supervision
- Record and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as required
- Provide training as required
- Complete routine paperwork as required
- Support daily production requirements
- Work on ladders, lifts and scaffolds
