Key Responsibilities
Capable of developing and communicating cross-team architectural solutions
Provide recommendations for continuous improvement on company wide applications
Provide oversight over multiple domains
Improves operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures
Learn and understand state-of-the-art development tools and processes
Communicate architectural standards and mentor other developers in their use
Provide leadership to engineering guilds
Accomplish engineering missions by delivering results as needed
Investigate problem areas, defining and facilitating solutions
Knowledge & Skills
Solid technical skills in more than two programming languages
Solid understanding of common architecture patterns
Working knowledge of all company infrastructure
Domain ownership
Understands and defines cross-team interdependent roadmaps
Can effectively estimate engineering work within 6-to 12-month timelines with varying degrees of accuracy
SCOPE & IMPACT
Individual contributor -- mentors others in both hard and soft skills




Work is performed under little to no supervision
Work affects and influences the company, its external reputation and long-term performance at a country or global level
Fulfills leadership role as a subject-matter expert
Contributes to multiple systems as needed
Defines best practices across multiple teams
Influences abandonment of obsolete practices across multiple platforms and disciplines
COMPLEXITY
Work is often difficult and complex - requires application of advanced techniques
Updates all phases of the software development lifecycle
Establishes and promotes reusable software patterns across multiple teams and disciplines
Education & Experience
12 to 15 years of relevant experience
A Bachelor's Degree preferred

Excellent planning/organizational skills and techniques
Mastery of analysis and problem-solving skills
Outstanding writing, presentation, and communication skills
Technical and general business skills
