We are currently recruiting for a casual Personal Support Worker for a private female employer .

The employer is writing her own book and learning Spanish. She has a good sense of humor and enjoys music, singing, and clothing; she also loves interior design, social networking and putting outfits together.

The Ideal candidate will be available to cover the shifts below and reside in or near the Parksville area.

Location:

- Parksville, BC (Lefty's Fresh Food)
- Open to candidates in Qualicum Beach, Nanaimo, and surrounding areas.

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Casual/Back up 7 days a week
- 9:00AM to 4:00PM and 4:00PM to 10:00PM
- Health Benefits offered after a minimum of 30 hours per pay period.

Compensation:

- $25.00 per hour during 3 month probationary period; $26.00 an hour afterwards

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

Morning shift

- Assist with personal care including changing incontinence products, catheter care, shower 3x per week, hair wash (separate from shower every 2 weeks), peri care (always has BM in incontinence product) and dressing
- Meal prep of Breakfast and Lunch
- Assist with transfers (overhead lift)
- Medication administration
- Light housekeeping and grocery shopping (occasionally)

Evening shift

- Assist with personal care including change incontinence products, catheter care, estrogen cream inserted vaginally,



and dressing
- Assist with transfers (overhead lift)
- Meal preparation of dinner
- Assist with bedtime prep/routine
- Medication administration
- Light housekeeping

Required Qualifications:

- 1 year of experience as caregiver
- Live in the Parksville, BC area
- Fully vaccinated
