About the Role
The SEC & Accounting Advisory and Forensic & Litigation Consulting teams are growing, and we're seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals to join us. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical accounting knowledge across US GAAP and IFRS — developed in a public accounting environment — and can apply that expertise to complex business transactions, investigations, and litigation matters.
Typical Projects Include
- Preparing and reviewing technical accounting memos (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 805)
- Supporting IPO readiness and audit readiness initiatives
- Managing and analyzing accounting restatements
- Conducting internal investigations involving technical accounting matters
- Supporting forensic and litigation consulting engagements
What You’ll Do
- Perform day-to-day project activities including interaction with client personnel, team members, and professionals from other firms across accounting advisory and forensic and litigation consulting engagements
- Perform technical accounting and financial analysis and assist clients with analyzing and documenting complex investigative issues
- Perform detailed reconciliations of complex account balances,
trace transactions through accounting systems, and verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Synthesize complex financial information and business data to support expert analyses and clearly communicate the methodology used in reaching conclusions
- Perform technical accounting research utilizing online tools and publicly available information, and assist in preparing reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties
- Apply accounting, financial, and analytical skills across client situations and practice disciplines, including detailed reviews of financial statements, underlying accounting records, and the application of GAAP
- Maintain detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information employed during all analytical tasks
- Prepare draft written analyses and other reports for third parties on project scope and/or results of activities
- Organize information to facilitate effective data access and analysis, and develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
