Job Summary

Looking for a weekend Veterinarian/ Locum. Must be Licensed in BC and willing to work either Saturday or Sunday 8am - 5pm, with a 1-2 hour lunch break in between.

- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess health status and identify medical issues
- Diagnose illnesses and injuries using clinical skills, laboratory tests, and imaging techniques
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, including surgeries, medication administration, and preventive care
- Educate pet owners on health maintenance, nutrition, vaccination schedules, and behavioral concerns




- Maintain accurate medical records of all treatments, procedures, and patient histories
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine through continuous learning and career development

Skills

- Proven experience in veterinary practice with strong diagnostic abilities
- Laboratory experience is highly desirable to facilitate accurate testing and analysis
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate pet owners and collaborate with team members
- Ability to handle animals compassionately while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure
- Strong organizational skills for managing multiple cases efficiently
- Knowledge of current veterinary standards, protocols, and ethical practices
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and emergency situations

Pay: $90.00-$110.00 per hour
