Pizza Cook / Kitchen Helper

Di Forno Pizzeria is a new neighbourhood pizzeria opening on Commercial Drive in Vancouver. We are looking for reliable and hardworking Pizza Cooks and Kitchen Helpers to join our team.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available. The ideal candidates are comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, communicate well with teammates, and care about food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Pizza Cook Responsibilities:

* Stretch pizza dough by hand

* Prepare and decorate pizzas according to our recipes and standards

* Operate the pizza oven safely and efficiently

* Monitor pizzas during baking to ensure consistent quality

* Prepare sauces, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other ingredients

* Refill and rotate ingredients using proper food-storage procedures

* Check food quality and presentation before orders are served

* Assist with opening and closing duties

* Maintain a clean and organized workstation

* Follow food-safety and sanitation procedures

* Assist other team members during busy periods

Kitchen Helper Responsibilities:

* Assist Pizza Cooks with food and ingredient preparation

* Wash, cut, portion, label, and store ingredients

* Refill the pizza preparation station as needed

* Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment

* Keep preparation areas, coolers, shelves, and storage areas organized

* Sweep and mop floors when required

* Assist with opening and closing duties

* Follow all food-safety and sanitation procedures

* Perform other kitchen duties as assigned

Requirements:





* Pizza Cook applicants must have at least one year of pizza-making experience

* Pizza Cook applicants must know how to stretch pizza dough by hand

* Previous kitchen experience is preferred for Kitchen Helper applicants

* FOODSAFE Level 1 is preferred but not required

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

* Ability to communicate in English

* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

* Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift

* Ability to lift and carry up to 25kg when required

* Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Job Types: Full-time and Part-time

Pay: $19.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and position

Expected Hours: 20–40 hours per week

* Weekends

* Holidays as needed
