Nurse Next Door is currently seeking experienced, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for casual position. The LPN provides essential compassionate and person-centered care to clients. You will be a vital member of our care-giving team supporting the physical, emotional and social well-being of our clients according to established care plans.

Pay: $30 - $35
This position consists of overnight shifts from 11pm until 7am, must be able to commute to Hubbard's and Hubley. Day shifts also available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine nursing tasks including vital signs, dressing changes, monitoring IV fluid drips
- Direct patient care: administer medications safely and accurately according to physicians’ orders and protocols
- Observation and reporting: observe patient for changes in condition, document findings thoroughly and report observations to Care Designer
- Provide compassionate support to clients in-home care and long-term care settings
- Patient assessment and monitoring – obtaining and interpreting vital data and implementing emergency intervention
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing Program
- Active Registration with Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) without conditions
- CPR and First Aid
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Minimum 1 year experience in LPN setting
- Ability to perform the physical duties of the role including lift and transferring
- Pediatrics Experience an asset
- Physical assessments such as JACCOLD method
