We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure setting through effective surveillance and security protocols. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious activities, taking appropriate action as needed
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and preventing theft or vandalism
- Maintain detailed logs of security incidents, observations, and patrols for reporting purposes
- Assist visitors and staff with access control procedures, including verifying identification when necessary
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
- Ensure all security equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions or concerns
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided
- Familiarity with surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices is a plus
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and the public
