Located in the beautiful Atrium Home Furnishing Centre in Dartmouth, NS., Ashley Furniture HomeStore has a current opening for a Front-Desk Lead to join our team. With more than 900 locations in 46 countries, Ashley Homestore is North America’s largest and fastest growing furniture retailer.

We are an exciting opening for a Front-Desk Lead Administrator. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Front-Desk Lead Administrator coordinates the day-to-day administrative and customer care functions of the store, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and superior customer service.

JOB DUTIES:

- Acting as a working member of the front-desk team (processing payments; processing financing applications; taking incoming/outgoing calls, answering customer inquiries, etc.);
- Supporting sales staff as needed (e.g., financial and delivery arrangements; customer communication; identifying and correcting order errors; ensuring obstacles are removed, etc.)
- Reviewing Dispatch Track for delivery/pick-up issues – proactively reaching out to customer and working on solutions to remedy the situation;
- Reviewing the daily cash close and safe balances, ensuring all amounts balance;
- Ensuring financial programs are sold accurately;
- Running Flexiti and Fairstone reports, and closing out financing on a daily basis;
- Implementing the Mattress Spiff program; ensuring report is accurate and sending topayroll in accordance with Company’s timelines
- De-escalating customer issues. Working with Store Manager to resolve complex service issues, and administrating decision based on manager direction;




- Filling in for other front-desk staff as needed (e.g., vacation days, sick days, etc.)
- Document all service-related inquiries in Storis – manage labour and parts costs;
- Work with team to control inventory integrity for the retail and warehousing operations;
- Work with Store Manager to resolve issues accordingly;
- Work with Store Merchandiser to deal with the exchange and damaged inventory within the store (following the as-is pricing structure);
- Follow up with customers to schedule parts for service work-orders;
- Schedule exchange orders in store;
- Apply and post service work order credits when received;
- Keep customers informed on the status of the status of their work orders;
- Manager customers’ expectations regarding service;
- Other administrative duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

- 2-5 years of previous experience in customer service – experience in warranty is a very strong asset.
- Degree or diploma is a related field (Business Admin, Business, etc.). Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
