Position Overview

Lead Drafting Services / Product Definition Technician at Pratt & Whitney Canada, Mississauga facility. Works on aircraft engine drafting and modeling.

Responsibilities

- Produce, revise, and verify all drawings and related documents for parts, assemblies, and complete engines using CAD and online systems.
- Perform complex drafting duties with Computer Aided Design (CAD). Focus on assembly drawings, clearance and tolerance charts, 3D models, and 3D Digital Mock‑Ups (DMU).
- Provide technical assistance and support through all detail design phases.
- Give technical direction to draftspersons on less complex designs, redesigns (DMU, EMU), and junior drafts.
- Ensure compliance with governing procedures, P&W; Canada Environment, Health & Safety rules, and quality requirements.
- Document engineering changes or releases and ensure supporting paperwork is complete before approval and release.

Qualifications

- Minimum of a College Technical Diploma in Mechanical Drafting or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge and experience in mechanical drafting and CAD (particularly CATIA V5).




- Understanding of Product Lifecycle Management databases such as Enovia and VPM.
- Experience with Dassault Systemes 3DX and Siemens Smarteam is preferred.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Benefits & Compensation
