Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our team. As a part of the DOP Restaurant group in Calgary, The Little Noodle Shop is looking to grow its operations at Crossroads Market, which is open to the public Friday - Sunday.

The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about all things food, with experience in restaurant or kitchen environments, looking to contribute to a great team environment.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen area
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure hygiene and safety
- Support cooking staff during meal service by providing prepared ingredients promptly




- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages

Qualifications

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or evenings if required
- Passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering excellent service

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
