SANITATION TECHNICIAN – FREDERICTON, NB

Purplefarm Genetics is one of Canada’s premier craft cannabis producers. Coming from the legacy market, Purplefarm Genetics currently operates a 12,000 sq ft facility out of Johnstown, Ontario and is expanding to Fredericton, Recent Brunswick to operate a 90,000 sq ft facility.

We are looking for a SANITATION TECHNICIAN to work in our Sanitation department to ensure our facility is always in a top-notch cleanliness state!

Responsibilities would include:

General:

- Following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and making suggestions for improvements
- Working with the department managers for timing of room change overs, batch changes, room cleaning and general cleaning.

Production Areas:

- Regular cleaning duties, garbage removal, sanitation of floors, door handles etc.
- Cleaning of Grow rooms before, during, and after production
- Cleaning of Post Harvest areas before, during, and after production
- Destruction of cannabis waste material
- Organization of clean and dirty items
- Operation of industrial dishwasher, pressure washers, and fogging machine
- Documenting cleaning activities in the electronic database
- Process improvement for cleaning and sanitation practices and procedures
- Coordinate with Quality for ATP swab sanitation checks

Non-Production Areas:

- Cleaning of common areas: lunchroom, offices, bathrooms, main entry,



locker rooms, etc.
- Operation of washing and drying machines for production uniforms.

Facility Grounds:

- Exterior garbage. Ensuring that no garbage is laying around the Fredericton facility grounds. Inside and outside fenced area.

Other:

- Support operation tasks as needed, including but not limited to, trimming, packaging, and plant maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Previous sanitation experience is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered a strong asset
- Previous cannabis industry experience is an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Extended periods of sitting or standing are required
- Must be able to lift up to 25 kg
- Overtime is required during peak times and to meet deadlines
