Job Title: Sanitation Worker - Night Shift

Work Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 3:30pm to 12am

Location: 11520 Eburne Way, Richmond, V6V 2G7 (access to reliable transportation is required, as we are located on Mitchell Island with limited access to public transit); fully on-site

Role Overview:

The Sanitation Worker ensures all food processing equipment and all areas of the facility are cleaned and sanitized in compliance with food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Clean and sanitize industrial food processing equipment, utensils, as well as various areas in the facility to meet food safety standards and maintain regulatory compliance
- Assemble and disassemble food processing equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning
- Follow company policies relating to GMP, food safety, chemical handling (i.e. WHMIS), SOP’s / SSOP’s (sanitation standard operating procedures), and occupational health and safety
- Work effectively with other departments and management to achieve operational success
- Additional duties as assigned





Required Competencies:

- Detail-oriented team player with positive mindset
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to make sound judgement and act with integrity
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Physically fit to perform manual weight handling/lifting of up to 50 lbs (neither repetitive nor required on a regular basis)
- Ability to work in a cold (~15 degrees C) and wet environment
- Basic English communication skills

Nice To Have Qualifications:

- Cleaning/sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
- WHMIS training or experience working with sanitation chemicals
- Counterbalance forklift experience
- First aid training/experience
