About the Role
We are seeking an
IT Specialist (Site Support)
to play a key role in the
launch and ongoing support
of a new state-of-the-art 3PL facility in Milton, Ontario. This hands-on role is ideal for a results-driven IT professional who thrives in fast-paced, operational environments and enjoys being the on-site technology expert.

As the primary IT contact at the site, you will support daily warehouse and office operations, ensure technology readiness for go-live, and collaborate closely with our
regional and global IT teams
to resolve issues, implement standard solutions, and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Site Launch & Go-Live Support

Support IT readiness for a new site launch, including device staging, system testing, and connectivity validation

Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), cutover activities, and go-live execution

Provide enhanced on-site support during launch and post-launch stabilization (hypercare)

Ensure timely provisioning of hardware, devices, and system access for new hires

Site-Level IT Support

Provide first- and second-level support for hardware and software issues, including:





Desktops, laptops, thin clients

RF scanners, tablets, and mobile warehouse devices

Networked printers and label printers

Troubleshoot issues related to:

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Transportation, yard, or labour management systems

Microsoft 365 applications

Support a 24x7 operational environment, with flexibility during peak periods or system events

Systems & Infrastructure

Install, configure, and maintain end-user and warehouse IT equipment

Support local network infrastructure, including switches, cabling, and Wi-Fi access points

Monitor system performance, identify risks, and elevate issues impacting operations

Support site expansions, automation installs, and equipment upgrades

Collaboration & Escalation

Act as the local IT liaison between site leadership and regional/global IT teams

Escalate incidents and service requests using established IT service management processes

Support corporate initiatives such as software updates, cybersecurity controls, and system standardization

Security, Compliance & Documentation

Enforce IT security and access control policies

Support compliance with Canadian and Ontario requirements, including OHSA and data privacy standards (PIPEDA)

Maintain documentation related to incidents, assets, configurations, and resolutions





Identify recurring issues and recommend preventative solutions

Qualifications
Required

3-5 years of IT support experience, preferably in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environment

Hands-on experience supporting Windows-based environments and Microsoft 365

Experience supporting RF scanners, printers, and other warehouse technology

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi)

Robust troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills

Experience working with remote or centralized IT teams

Preferred

Experience supporting a 3PL or distribution centre site launch

Familiarity with WMS platforms (e.g., Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP, Körber)

Knowledge of ITIL-based service management practices

CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications
