Contract Cleaner (Childcare Centre) – WelKleen Services

We are seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Contract Cleaner to support daily cleaning routines at a childcare centre. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe spaces and can follow established sanitation procedures. You will work independently, completing a small, consistent weekly schedule while ensuring the environment remains hygienic and welcoming for children and staff.

This is a contractor position. You will invoice WelKleen Services for completed work. No employee benefits are provided.

Duties

- Clean classrooms, washrooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect high‑touch surfaces
- Empty garbage and recycling
- Restock supplies as needed
- Follow childcare‑centre sanitation and safety standards
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain professionalism and reliability at all times

Requirements

- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience (childcare or school experience is an asset)




- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Must be punctual, reliable, and detail‑oriented
- Must be legally able to work as an independent contractor
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical cleaning tasks
- Clear communication skills
- A positive, professional attitude

Schedule

- 2 hours per day
- 2 days per week
- Total: 4 hours per week

Compensation

- $20 per hour
- Paid weekly or bi‑weekly through WelKleen Services
- Contractors invoice for completed shifts
