THE WORK:
You’ve Never Been Satisfied with “Good Enough.”
You want to make an impact, not just manage projects, but change how the world gets built. At Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects, you’ll do exactly that. You’ll help develop and deliver the factories, grids, transit systems, and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - and do it smarter, safer, and more sustainably than ever before.
You’ll work alongside people who think big and act bold - project managers, engineers, technologists, and strategists who blend real-world experience with digital innovation and AI. Together, we’re transforming how capital projects are planned, managed, and executed, creating a better way to build for the future.
Because “good enough” builds the past. You’re here to build what’s next, on a team that outperforms every norm.
The Power Platform & BI Developer supports the digitization of operational and capital-project delivery workflows through low-code applications, portals, automation, and business intelligence. The role works across Microsoft Power Apps, Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, and Power BI to translate business needs into usable solutions, reliable data capture, and decision-ready reporting. This includes building new dashboards and enhancing existing reporting products to respond to evolving business and delivery needs.
Working under structured supervision, the Developer participates across the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements, process design, configuration, testing, deployment, dashboard development, documentation, user support, and continuous improvement. The role is expected to apply strong quality, user-experience, data-validation, and governance practices throughout delivery.
(Internal Title: Business System Configuration / Development I)
Requirements & Process Discovery
Participate in discovery sessions to understand current processes, pain points, users, data needs, controls, and desired outcomes.
Document functional requirements, user stories or acceptance criteria, process flows, data fields, validation rules, user roles, and reporting requirements.
Support prototype and dashboard reviews, capture stakeholder feedback, and incorporate approved changes into subsequent iterations.
Coordinate with business analysts, project controls, data engineering, IT, and other teams to clarify requirements and source systems.
Power Platform Application & Portal Development
Build and maintain Power Apps canvas and model-driven applications using approved design patterns, templates, and user-experience standards.
Configure responsive and mobile-friendly experiences, including device capabilities such as camera, attachments, and geolocation where required.
Create and maintain Power Pages solutions for external or cross-team data intake, including forms, permissions, and content configuration.
Customize Power Apps and Power Pages where needed by using JavaScript, Liquid HTML, and CSS.
Implement business rules, field validations, role-based visibility, and basic security roles in accordance with approved requirements.
Configure Dataverse and SharePoint data structures using established data models, naming conventions, and retention requirements.
Workflow Automation & Integration
Develop and maintain Power Automate cloud flows for routing, approvals, notifications, document generation, scheduled processing, and data updates.
Use approved connectors to integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365 and other authorized data sources or services.
Support basic API, connector, and identity-enabled integration patterns under the guidance of senior technical team members.
Implement monitoring, exception handling, retry logic, and clear support information for automated processes.
Design and build new Power BI dashboards and reports, and enhance and maintain existing reporting products using approved templates, semantic models, visual standards, and publication processes.
Prepare data using Power Query and create foundational data models, relationships, measures, filters, drill-through paths, tooltips, and navigation experiences.
Apply documented KPI definitions and business rules, and maintain calculation notes, metric dictionaries, assumptions, and edge cases. Use best-practice DAX to create calculated tables, columns, and measures.
Perform completeness, accuracy, reconciliation, and reasonability checks against approved source-system extracts or reference reports.
Publish and support reports in Power BI Service, including workspace organization, refresh monitoring, audience access, RLS, and routine release coordination.
Provide basic guidance to users on report navigation, filtering, interpretation, and known limitations.
Testing, Deployment & Production Support
Follow the delivery lifecycle from requirements and design through build, test, deployment, hypercare, and ongoing support.
Execute unit and functional testing and support user acceptance testing through test scripts, defect tracking, evidence capture, and outcome documentation.
Follow approved application lifecycle management and deployment processes for promoting solutions between development, test, and production environments.
Triage application, automation, data, refresh, and reporting issues using clear reproduction steps, impact statements, and supporting evidence.
Maintain release notes and communicate approved changes, outages, known issues, and workarounds to affected users.
Maintain solution documentation, including process maps, configuration notes, data dictionaries, flow inventories, report inventories, and known limitations.
Create user guides, quick-reference materials, annotated walkthroughs, and short training content to support adoption.
Gather feedback and identify opportunities to improve usability, data quality, performance, maintainability, and standardization.
Support peer knowledge sharing and demonstrate standard development, testing, deployment, refresh, and support procedures.
Governance, Security & Compliance
Follow established environment strategies, naming conventions, access-control policies, solution-management practices, and records requirements.
Apply least-privilege access and approved data-storage practices when handling sensitive or restricted information.
Avoid creating conflicting systems of record and elevate requests that require changes to authoritative enterprise systems or unapproved integration patterns.
Ensure changes are documented, traceable, peer-reviewed, and aligned with organizational digital and data-governance standards.
Working Conditions
Hybrid: Hybrid work arrangement combining office and remote work, with occasional on-site presence to support field users, project teams, workshops, testing, deployment, or training as required.
